For Attorneys
Recent changes to the discovery provisions of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure have made traditional eDiscovery “wait-and-see” approaches no longer sustainable. Law firms and corporations are often penalized due to mistaken beliefs regarding Electronically Stored Information (ESI) requirements. Best-practices technology can enable corporate counsel to establish such a defensible process that simultaneously minimizes cost. We can conduct an MCLE Credited presentation at your location (min. 5 participants) to get you up to speed of your new responsibilities as a result of the Sedona Conference that resulted in the FRCP rules. Download our eDiscovery Readiness Whitepaper for further information.

Redact-IT and Electronically Stored Information

FrontLine-IS is a partner and reseller of Redact-IT.  Electronically Stored Information (ESI) has introduced new challenges for the legal and litigious nature of the corporate community.   The method of “wait and see” is no longer practical and raises great concerns regarding the protection of privacy, proprietary or other sensitive information.   FrontLine-IS offers proactive eDiscovery Readiness turn-key services for those organizations that would like to be prepared rather than reactive which consumes 5 times the amount of resources.  If litigation is imminent, FrontLine-IS works with the representative counsel to ensure that the best practices for eDiscovery and Forensics are followed, as we are the experts in this area and are fully certified.  During the e-discovery Review phase, a proactive strategy can make the difference of winning and losing, and the stakes are very high.

The challenges of ESI, is that it is estimated that almost 92% of new documents reside on a computer, backup tape or other storage media (pda’s, phones, etc.).  It is the responsibility of legal counsel to properly handle ESI within the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedures, which includes the redaction all documents prior to Production.

The results of not properly redacting ESI can sabotage your case as well.  The other challenge is that by manually searching the mountains of data, it is very time-consuming and prone to human error. It requires hard copies and redaction tape and often temporary help to pour over stacks of documents.  Informative Graphics offers Electronic redaction, which is the removal of content from a document. This means the content is not available for view, print, search or copy and cannot be retrieved in any way. Automated redaction offers an excellent approach that can save time and help reduce liability.
